My Review:
I really enjoyed this book. I like reading about history, and this book is a type of historical fiction with fantasy mixed in (the characters time travel, which makes it even more interesting). I chose this book to read because it is about history, and it is the first of a series. I’m always looking for a new series to read!
Flashback Four: The Lincoln Project teaches about the Gettysburg Address and a little bit about what life was like back in the mid 1800s. One thing that I learned was that the Gettysburg Address was not the “main attraction” that day; it was actually Edward Everett’s speech. Edward Everett was one of the most famous orators of his time. Also, Abraham Lincoln didn’t mention slavery in his 272 word, 10 sentence Address. I learned a lot from this book, and I feel like I know more about this time period, what they did, and of course, the Gettysburg Address.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys history and adventure. I would read this book again, and I will definitely read the rest of the books in the series.
I rate this book 4 out of 5 books!
