From the Publisher:

In The Complete Peanuts: 1995-1996 (Vol. 23), Charlie Brown starts taking dancing classes … and is asked to the sweetheart ball! The World Famous Attorney handles some tough cases … Rerun wants Snoopy to come out and play … and Linus hears coyotes howling at night. Even the most devoted Peanuts fan will be surprised when they revisit Schulz’s last decade of work on the most beloved comic strip of all time. Schulz’s cartooning has never been more expressive, and his sense of humor never more unencumbered by formula or tradition.

My Review:

I really enjoy the Peanuts comic strips! I read this book because we have been reading all of the Peanuts books that we could find at the public library! Our library has a large collection of these Peanuts Collection books. I enjoy reading chapter books, but I have discovered that reading comic strips or graphic novels makes my brain work differently than a typical book.

My favorite character is Snoopy because he likes to pretend he is many things. Snoopy likes to pretend he is a famous author. Unfortunately, all of Snoopy’s stories get rejected, or they cannot sell a copy. Snoopy also likes to pretend he is a famous foreign legion officer, a golfer, an attorney, an astronaut, Joe Black Jack (a famous riverboat gambler), a Beagle Scout (troop leader where he leads a bunch of birds), Santa Clause, a pirate, a hockey player, and a World War I flying ace! Snoopy is so funny to read about, and that is why he is my favorite character!

I rate this book 5 out of 5 books!
